Chinese smartphone maker ZTE announced the date when the new flagship 5G phone Axon 11 5G will be introduced. ZTE is expected to feature the most camera in its new 5G powered phone.
Many smartphone manufacturers focus on 5G support on their devices from 2020. ZTE introduced the 5G flagship Axon 10s Pro last month. The company is now preparing to come out with its new smartphone Axon 11 5G.
The head of the ZTE’s smartphone unit, Dr. Lu Qianhao announced that the ZTE Axon 11 5G will be introduced on March 23. Axon 11 5G supports SA and NSA 5G, just like the Axon 10s Pro. The new smartphone will be the third 5G phone the brand has launched in China after the Axon 10 Pro 5G and Axon 10s Pro 5G.
Official introductions show that the ZTE Axon 11 5G focuses on video shooting performance. In other words, new breakthroughs are expected on the camera side from the phone. Beyond that, the details about the new smartphone are currently unknown. There are some predictions, though.
The Axon 11 5G is thought to be powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 865 processor. On the other hand, there is also the possibility of coming with the mid-range Snapdragon 765G or Snapdragon 765 with 5G support.
In an earlier interview, ZTE’s global trade president, Xu Feng, stated that China is one of the most important and oldest markets at the point of 5G smartphones. According to Feng, 5G technology will probably be in our lives for the next 10 years.
