Youtube’s Chris Chan Is Reportedly Released from Prison by Court Order

YouTuber Chris Chan has reportedly been released from a Virginia prison by court order, and the reason for this is unknown.

On August 1, 2021, Chris Chan, a youtuber and creator of the Sonichu webcomics, was arrested in Virginia on charges of sexually assaulting her mother.

Since her arrest, she has been in custody at the Central Virginia Regional Prison.

On March 27, 2023, social media exploded after learning that Chan had been released from prison, and some netizens received warning messages about her release.

When Twitter users started noticing news about Chris Chan, the Virginia VINE website revealed that the former YouTuber was “out of custody” and “out of custody,” with a notification from the service alerting various people to her release.

However, just a few hours later, the VINE website was updated to show that Chan was in fact no longer in custody at the Central Virginia Regional Prison, but had been released by court order.

When searching for Chris Chan’s name on the Virginia court website, we found evidence that a transportation warrant was issued for her on March 27, but the reason is still unknown.

The list also shows that the former YouTuber has a hearing scheduled for August 8, 2023.

Chris Chan’s current whereabouts are unknown, but a recent status change may be that the state is transferring her from prison to prison or even to a psychiatric hospital.
