Redmi, one of Xiaomi’s main sub-brands, will hold an event on May 26 to present the Redmi 10X phone. In addition to the new smartphone, the company is also due to unveil a new RedmiBook next Tuesday, according to teasers published on the social network Weibo.
According to one of the company’s posts, the new notebook of the line will bet on a compact design, but which will have a thin-edged screen. “The small screen is not fun for games and the big screen is not portable for the office. What is the perfect size for both?” Asks the company.
While the manufacturer has not revealed details about the device’s specifications, rumors shared by Gizchina point out that the RedmiBook will arrive with several size options. According to the website, the product will feature models of 13, 14 and 16 inches.
Inside, the notebook can bring AMD Ryzen 5 4500U or Ryzen 7 4700U processors, accompanied by up to 16 GB of RAM 3 and 512 GB of SSD storage. The operating system must be Windows 10.
Redmi 10X with new MediaTek chip
Apparently, the RedmiBook will only be the guest of honor at the event. According to the brand itself, the main highlight of the presentation that will take place next week will be the Redmi 10X.
The new intermediary will be presented as the first smartphone equipped with the Dimensity 820, a processor recently introduced by MediaTek. The component arrives to equip intermediate devices and has support for 5G.
Bringing eight cores up to 2.6 GHz, the Dimensity 820 recently passed tests in the AnTuTu benchmark and reached 414,672 points, surpassing rival Snapdragon 765G, Qualcomm’s intermediate chip for 5G.
