Xiaomi launched the Redmi AirDots S, the company’s new generation of wireless headphones, on the Chinese market. With a starting price of 99.90 yuan (about US $ 14 dollars, in direct conversion), the novelty maintains the design of the previous version and comes in three sizes (small, medium and large). In addition, it brings some improvements.
Pairing the Redmi AirDots S takes place automatically with the two headsets, unlike the predecessor, in which the right handset connects to the smartphone and, only afterwards, the left handset connects to its “brother”. There is also the option of mono and stereo sound, set automatically when using only one of the headphones or both.
Carrying a Bluetooth 5.0 chip, the launch transmits twice as much data as the last generation, maintaining a stable and faster connection. A low latency mode can be activated by pressing the device button three times.
Finally, the battery lasts from four to 12 hours (when in the charging box), support for voice assistants, call rejection, music play / pause, in addition to noise reduction. Sales have not yet started and neither is there information related to the global market.
