Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is working on a top-of-the-line smartphone that will feature images in both optical and digital formats. The information is from the Russian website Xiaomishka, found by Android Central.
According to speculation, the company will launch a device with a 12x optical zoom, reaching a 120x digital zoom. The main objective is to compete against Samsung, which highlighted the 100x zoom on the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
For now, there are no details about the lenses and sensors of the camera set, but it is possible that it is one of the debut models of the ISOCELL HM2, which will be manufactured by Samsung itself and has not even been revealed yet, but it should have a resolution of 108 MP. A similar collaboration has happened before, with ISOCELL HMX in 2019. The device is yet to run on the Snapdragon 775 processor, which has not yet been announced by Qualcomm.
