A company called Lobaev Arms, working on weapons in Russia, developed a new sniper rifle. This rifle, called SVLK-14S, has a range of 3 kilometers.

Weapon technologies are one of the most important fields of study in the countries. Although the wars are no longer taking place in positions, the defense industry companies of the countries continue their efforts to develop unique weapons. Now in Russia, one of the world’s superpowers, the world’s deadliest sniper rifle has been developed. Developed by a company called Lobaev Arms, the weapon is called SVLK-14S.

Lobaev Arms describes the sniper rifle it developed as “game changer”. According to the company, SVLK-14S can successfully hit a target approximately 3.2 kilometers away. This distance is quite a lot for sniper rifles because it is almost twice more than the L115A3, which is used by the British army, with a range of 1.5 kilometers.

SVLK-14S defined as game changer
SVLK-14S is sold for 30 thousand euros and weighs a total of 10 kilograms. Yuri Sinichkin, chief engineer of Lobaev Arms, states that the SVLK-14S is one with brands such as Ferrari and Porsche. Stressing that their new weapons are made in pieces, Sinichkin says that the gun can only be used by professional snipers.

Once a sniper fires this rifle, it fires .408 caliber bullets at 900 meters per second. This speed is 3 times faster than the speed of sound. So if this weapon is used, the target will never be able to hear the gun’s voice. Sinichkin stated that this bullet pierced even 3 centimeters thick metal material, saying that an enemy target would not be protective of any steel vest on the market.
