World Health Organization Announces 6 Steps All Countries Should Take Against Coronary Infusion

The World Health Organization, which is trying to determine the direction of the fight on coronavirus, held a press conference yesterday and warned countries about coronavirus. WHO called on all countries to take 6 important steps.

The World Health Organization held a press conference yesterday, saying that these days, when more than a billion people are currently under quarantine, are an opportunity against the virus outbreak and this opportunity should not be wasted.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization, said that quarantines only slowed the virus outbreak. Stating that the slowdown of the epidemic due to quarantine creates a second opportunity for countries to take action, WHO Director General stated that the second opportunity is about to be missed in these days when the number of cases in the world exceeds 450,000.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General said, “We have overcome many pandemics and crises before. We will overcome this. The question is how big a price we will pay. We have already lost more than 16,000 people. We also know that we will lose more. The things we make and the decisions we make will determine more. ”

The Director-General listed six important steps that countries must take to combat the virus, regardless of the extent and future of the outbreak at the press conference. Here are the 6 steps Ghebreyesus wants countries to take to fight the virus:

  • Expand your public health power, train and deploy medical staff.
  • Implement a system to detect every suspicious case.
  • Increase test capacity and availability.
  • Identify the quarantine facilities we will use to treat and isolate patients and make the necessary preparations.
  • Develop an open plan to quarantine people.
  • Focus on the issue again so that all members of the government understand the virus outbreak.
  • Many countries, especially the USA, continue to discuss the issue of removing quarantine measures to support the economy or not taking quarantine measures. Ghebreyesus also warned countries that continue such discussions for the quarantine decision. Saying that the virus will not continue to spread when quarantine is removed as a result of a targeted approach, WHO Director General said that the last thing any country needs is to reopen it after removing the quarantine.

WHO Director General Ghebreyesus also said that a single solution may not be the appropriate step for all regions. Ghebreyesus said that China has implemented different quarantine practices in different regions in the fight against the virus. China, which took strict quarantine measures in Hubei province, where the virus was first seen, succeeded in this state and started to mitigate the quarantine measures. However, strict measures still continue to be implemented in Wuhan.
