Wild Rift fans better beware, as there is a chance that version 2.6 will be delayed a bit. According to the latest foreign media reports, China is dealing with some digital security issues, which has increased its scrutiny of local businesses, including Tencent.
As reported in the South China Morning Post report, citing the need to “temporarily exercise greater administrative control”, China has applied stricter rules regarding data protection and privacy in its new Digital Data Security Act, which should affect Wild Rift patch 2.6:
After all, Tencent will now have more work and difficulties when it comes to releasing or updating their apps. The good news is that these regulations are only in effect in China, so all of the company’s overseas operations will not be disrupted.
The 2.6 version of Wild Rift is highly anticipated by gamers, as the last major patch, 2.5, was released there in October. What would you most like to see in this update? Let us know in the comments below!
