Last night (January 20th) The 1975 played a home concert at Manchester’s AO Arena, and were joined by special guest Charli XCX — see the recording below.
After performing “When We Are Together” from the recent album “Being Funny In A Foreign Language”, The 1975 left the stage only to hear a knock on the door of the house on stage.
Charli XCX then appeared and asked the crowd “where are my fucking gays” before launching the 2015 track “Vroom Vroom”. Check out the footage of the fan shots below.

Last week, Taylor Swift joined The 1975 at the first of two concerts at London’s O2 Arena.
The singer-songwriter made a dramatic appearance near the end of the Matty Healy and Company show “At Their Very Best” and asked: “Is it okay if I sing? I was thinking about doing one that I’ve never played live before,” before performing an acoustic cover of “Anti-Hero” from her recent album “Midnights”.
She then performed a solo acoustic cover of the 1975 song The City.
On the North American leg of the 1975 tour, Phoebe Bridgers joined the band in Los Angeles, performing a cover of “Milk”, and in San Francisco, Jack Antonoff took the stage to perform a medley of Bleachers songs.
Yesterday Charli XCX teamed up with George Daniel from The 1975 to remix Caroline Polacek’s new single “Welcome To My Island”. Back in 2021, Charlie teamed up with The 1975 and No Rome for “Spinning”.
The 1975 band had six performances left from the UK leg of their very best tour before an intimate benefit concert at the Manchester Gorilla. Grab the remaining tickets here and check the dates below.
