Universal Orlando, Florida, Has a Funny Reaction After a Trip to Jurassic Park Got Weird Due to a Hydraulic Leak

When it comes to malfunctions related to theme park rides based on cult sci-fi movies, you may face more serious problems than a hydraulic fluid leak. The same fate befell Universal Orlando with the Jurassic Park attraction, which is why the attraction was closed for much-needed repairs. This downtime led to some interesting footage of the trip being posted online, and things got even weirder when fans started sharing funny responses to the results of this prehistoric leak.

The Universal Parks News Today theme park blog became the source of the video that caused Jurassic Park River Adventure fans to crack all over Twitter. One of the first proposals in the expansion of the theme park in the Jurassic Park universe, an exciting attraction puts guests face to face with many dinosaurs from the popular movie. But, as you will see below, the threat of a different color was on public display:

At the bottom of the last drop, the water from Jurassic Park River Adventure has acquired a rather strange appearance due to the previously mentioned leak. According to some other social media posts, vegetable oils are what has colored the situation quite darkly over the past couple of days. The user “jonvasquez” begins with a very important brand message for us, which would sound right in the fictional world of Jurassic Park:

The red wave. It doesn’t suit dinosaurs.

Brown water like the one we saw above will obviously cause jokes from very familiar hats. Fortunately, we can postpone the transition to bathroom humor for another moment thanks to the Twitter account “thechris_harris”, who inadvertently presented a really amazing-sounding idea of a trip in his response:

With brown water, it looks as if it has undergone reconstruction and now represents “Willy Wonka’s Adventure on the Chocolate River”.

Considering that Universal Orlando already has the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium as a secret culinary weapon, it’s not that hard to have an attraction that dives into the same inspiration. Although, of course, if Universal was going to build an entire attraction around a fictional chocolate factory, it would probably want to secure the rights to Willy Wonka and do it right.

Having discarded dreams of an attraction built on pure imagination, it’s time to move on to jokes about poop from Jurassic World. You were waiting for them, I was waiting for them, and the commentator “starstruck1777” made a solid contribution to the category of humor that was just waiting in the wings:

This is probably what water looks like when you encounter dinosaurs trying to escape from the Jurassic World.

Concluding our review of funny and interesting reactions to this Jurassic Park mishap, the “LorcanaDad” profile provided a story of historical context that I definitely need to find now. Referring to some of the stories of Disney parks in their reaction, one can imagine how much dirtier the failure in the Hall of Presidents in the days of Walt Disney should have been:

This is a hydraulic fluid. Reminds the story of how Walt first bragged about Lincoln Animatronic, and his hydraulic line burst.

But seriously, this latest closure of Jurassic Park River Adventure occurred after a major renovation in the recent past. Damage from Hurricane Jan previously brought the nearly 30-year-old attraction to a standstill late last year, which came after another Jurassic shutdown that occurred in January 2022. Because of all this activity, Universal Orlando fans may ask if it’s time to rethink the idea of turning Jurassic Park River Adventure into a more modern experience.

Since Universal Hollywood used the success of Jurassic World to turn its historical attraction into a Jurassic World Ride, another type of influence may force Universal Orlando to finally follow suit. There are currently no official responses suggesting that Jurassic Park River Adventure will be replaced and you can currently enjoy the ride as it is working again.
