Kanye West has always enjoyed the support of celebrities thanks to a wide range of his endeavors. Having achieved success in music and fashion, the hip-hop artist began studying at Donda Academy and Donda Sports. He even persuaded basketball player Jaylen Brown to become the face of his sports enterprise. But, being a controversial figure, anyone who makes an alliance with the West is questioned about their support.
Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown told why he decided to represent Donda Sports. Being careful, the athlete defended his decision, stating why it is important to him and why his thoughts are connected with the purpose of the venture.
Why Jaylen Brown Supports Kanye West’s Organization
Kanye West is known for participating in huge projects and creating joint projects to achieve success. Therefore, when basketball player Jaylen Brown was asked how he was connected with a sports organization, he had an answer ready. In an interview with the New York Times, Brown said that he was “trying to be an example for the next generation of athletes.” According to him, 50-60% of retired athletes experience financial problems just ten years after accumulating wealth. The sports community needs training and awareness-raising about sustainable money management. He is unhappy with the agents’ lack of concern for players after their retirement.

The athlete also mentioned that Donda Sports is named after Kanye West’s late mother Donda West. She was a teacher, like Brown’s mother, and focused on educating people. Now Brown does not agree that Ye supports former President Donald Trump. But, according to him, it’s possible to work with someone you don’t support.
But it didn’t last long, and he left the organization after Ye’s anti-Semitic comments. Eventually, Donda Sports dried up, as did Ye’s other businesses.
Donda Sports was just one of Ye’s ambitious projects.
Ye had no problems finding large employees, he just had a hard time keeping them. Justin Laboy and Kanye West created this company in May 2022. It was their attempt to penetrate the sports industry, promoting the health of athletes in all aspects. But the site was more like a marketing agency with sold-out products. Donda West Academy, an expensive school with its own curriculum, also did not work.
