There are popular franchises, and there is Harry Potter. The magical world has entertained the public with books, films, theme parks and productions for decades. The franchise of seven films continues to be reviewed, and the cast (which has grown before our eyes) remains synonymous with its characteristic roles. This includes Draco Malfoy himself, Tom Felton, who shared an A+ view of Rupert Grint and Jason Isaacs’ reaction to his Harry Potter book.
Back in October, Harry Potter actor Tom Felton released a book largely inspired by his stay in the wizarding world. His accounts called Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard (opens in new tab) definitely turned the heads of hardcore Potterheads. I mean, how amazing is it? It is obvious that the actors of the Harry Potter films share a lot of love, which was fully demonstrated during the special edition of HBO Max “Return to Hogwarts”. And part of having good friends/family is having someone who lovingly pokes fun at you, as Rupert Grint and Jason Isaacs do above. Is there a Magical World book club that we don’t know about?
Tom Felton shared an image of Rupert Grint and Jason Isaacs with his 11.9 million Instagram followers. Despite the fact that he actively promoted his book Beyond the Wand, this latest update is sure to go viral. Mostly because it seems that Felton’s magical colleagues don’t really believe the content of his memoirs. Of course, we know that all this is a funny joke born of love.
It is clear that there is a lot of love between the cast of Harry Potter, and Tom Felton has maintained a close relationship with Lucius Malfoy actor Jason Isaacs for many years. This father-son dynamic is still strong between the couple, despite the fact that Felton is now 35 years old. But what makes the above post even more funny is that it also includes Ron Weasley icon Rupert Grint, and the two don’t seem to enjoy reading Beyond the Wand.
In his book, Tom Felton shared his experience working on the Harry Potter franchise at such a young age. He and the rest of the actors have grown up before our eyes, and the fandom has not weakened since the second part of the Deathly Hallows was released. The book also talks about some of the disadvantages of fame and the difficulties that Felton faced as a result of his time in the role of Draco Malfoy. This includes his past with substance problems.
In addition to the special reunion, Harry Potter fans hope that the actors will reunite on camera again, in particular through the film adaptation of The Cursed Child. The actors have given various statements about this possibility, so we’ll just have to wait and see how things turn out.
