A video of the devoted fantasy football manager went viral on social media on Wednesday.
The longtime football fan has kept all the message boards about his career in fantasy football since the 2010s. When he got to 2012, he lamented the fact that he chose Tom Brady as his first overall pick.
“TB, gag,” he said.
Brady applauded this fan with his stats for the 2012 season.
“2012? 4800 yards, 34 touchdowns, 8 picks. It’s a pity that you had to go through this person,” he wrote on Twitter.
The NFL world reacted to this exchange on Twitter.
“Lol. The biggest Brady haters I’ve known have always been the first to draw him in fantasy,” one fan wrote.
“Brady on Twitter is one of the greatest things that has ever happened,” another added.
“That was literally my first thought when I saw this video: didn’t you participate in the MVP race all year that year? Buddy was definitely a geek, lol,” said another.
At 44—almost a full decade after that 2012 season—Brady had one of the best statistical seasons of his career in 2021. He scored a league-best 5,316 yards, 43 touchdowns and 485 completions.
The 45-year-old QB will be looking to continue this otherworldly production in the 23rd year.
