The TikTok influence of Kara Santorelli went viral after her death, and viewers flooded one of her videos where she claimed she had never been in a car accident.
TikToker tragically died in a fatal car crash — and it goes viral posthumously.
18-year-old Kara Santorelli died on March 17 when an oncoming car drove off the wrong side of the road on Highway 29 in Escambia County, Florida.
According to a statement from the Florida Highway Patrol, the car, a Chevrolet sedan, crashed into Santorelli’s car head-on. Santorelli died on impact, and the other driver died from his injuries after being stuck in his car.

Santorelli’s death caused shock on social media, but one particular video of her is gaining millions of views after the news of her death shocked her TikTok followers.
In the video in question, Santorelli is sitting in his car with the caption: “When they try to call me a bad driver, but I’ve never hit a person or a real car.”

After Santorelli’s death, the five-second clip has gained more than 15 million views, and their number continues to grow … and the comments section is very ambiguous.
Some users note the terrible time when her video was posted on their For You pages among the news, while others make less racy comments about her passing, and still others express their condolences to TikToker’s family and friends.
“It was a terrible time. My God, rest in peace,” one user wrote.
“All the ‘it hasn’t aged’ comments are so inappropriate,” said another. “Someone going the wrong way has entered it.”
“The first time I see her, and you all tell me that she was in a car accident?” asked another.
Santorelli’s family has created a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses. “Kara had the most beautiful smile and the sweetest soul,” a statement at the fundraiser said. “Everyone who knew her loved her.”
Santorelli’s death followed the demise of another TikTok star, Jean Thomas, who died suddenly at the age of 30 after a series of videos talking about her migraine problems.
