The Witcher: Season 2 has emotional Geralt and new stories

The Witcher: After almost two years of waiting, fans of The Witcher can celebrate, as the 2nd season of the series has just premiered on Netflix. The production follows the trajectory of the sorcerer Geralt de Rívia (Henry Cavill), who has crossed paths with that of Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan) and that of the sorceress Yennefer (Anya Chalotra). The first season was a huge success, reaching the Top 10 of the streaming platform several times.

The first season ended with two great events: the long-awaited encounter between Geralt and Cirilla and the sacrifice of Yennefer during the Battle of Sodden. The second season not only explains these loose ends very well, but also brings new challenges and new characters to integrate this universe of The Witcher. All this over 8 episodes of about an hour each.

Main Characters of The Witcher

Let’s start talking about the most important characters in the series and who left some ends behind.

Geralt de Rívia

O Lobo Branco is a little different from what we know, especially now that he has accepted that he has a daughter and will do anything to protect her. For that, he approaches old friendships, which means new characters for the plot.

As he tries to take care of Cirilla, he also forms alliances with a character we know well: Istredd (Royce Pierreson), to understand how new monsters like Myriapod and Chernobog are emerging.
