The Witcher: Netflix released, this Tuesday (14), a scene of just over a minute from the 2nd season of The Witcher. The excerpt shows a dialogue between the witches Yennefer de Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra) and Tissaia de Vries (MyAnna Buring).
The two appear talking about the Battle of Sodden Hill, which was shown last season, and the ramifications Yennefer’s actions will have for the Continent. The leading witch of the Aretuza school even tells the protagonist that the wizard Vilgefortz (Mahesh Jadu) should be cited as responsible for what happened in the battle.

In this 2nd season, The Witcher series will continue to tell about the events that are in the books of the franchise. One of the confirmations is that the short story “Um Grão de Veracidade”, which is in the first book “O Last Desire”, will be one of the adapted stories.
Another novelty is that the production focused on Geralt de Rivia (Henry Cavill) will have, in this new season, more prominence in female plots. “It’s just something given to us. We get the scripts and then our characters have this amazing arc. This is about women having the same story. We’re not just there to help with Henry’s plot”, defended Schmidt Hissrich, the showrunner of the show.
Season 2 of The Witcher premieres worldwide on Netflix on December 17th, next Friday.
