Russian graphic designer and animator Kishi_kun shared, on his Reddit profile, an incredible pixel art of The Witcher 3, presenting, for all players, what the game of the year 2015 would look like in its 16-bit version. The result, then, was a real bath of nostalgia for fans of Super Nintendo and Mega Drive games, but with touches of the latest generation games.
Kishi_kun used the RPG Maker platform to recreate the last scene of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Blood & Wine expansion, where a series of tense moments takes Geralt and vampire Regis to rest by a fire, on the outskirts of the Duchy of Toussaint. The artist shared images about the friends’ final dialogue, just before Lobo Branco went silent and broke the fourth wall. Check it out below.
“Ahh … I don’t feel like going anywhere. Can we just sit here?” Says Geralt.
“So come on, my friend. We witness … And, in fact, we often cause … Many costly events. After all this work, I think we deserve a break, ”concludes Regis.
And to celebrate the moment, the artist also published, on his Twitter profile, an animation of the scene, with leaves being blown by the winds, the fireplace fire burning and a beautiful background with the real city.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. Players who have it in the current generation will be able to access its free upgrade to Xbox Series S / X and PS5.
