The Rolling Stones have launched an official TikTok account.
TikTokers can now access the full music catalog of rock icons on the platform. Users will be able to create covers and remixes of the band’s hits, including “Start Me Up”, “It’s Only Rock’n Roll (But I Like It)” and “Miss You”. All these tracks are available on the TikTok Sounds page.
Singer Mick Jagger also opens his personal account on TikTok, joining bandmate Keith Richards, who appeared on the platform last year.
Fans can follow both the accounts and the band’s official channel, which will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes content from live performances, studio recordings and more.
The Rolling Stones have released their first videos featuring rare archival footage, and they also encourage fans to perform, move and dress like a band. Also now available is a new guest playlist compiled by the band, which includes 44 hits from their catalog, including “Angie”, “Beast Of Burden” and others.
TikTok is launching the official hashtag #TheRollingStones to celebrate rock icons joining the platform.
Meanwhile, earlier this week the band shared a new live version of “Wild Horses” from their upcoming live album “GRRR Live!”.
“GRRR Live!” is released on February 10 and is dedicated to a special concert in honor of the 50th anniversary tour of the band “50 and Counting” in 2012.
The show, which took place in December 2012 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, was originally broadcast as a pay-per-view event by The Rolling Stones: One More Shot.
Now it has been remixed and edited for a new release, which will be released on vinyl with three albums and on CD with two albums. “GRRR Live!” will also be released on DVD and Blu-Ray.
