Geoff Keighley, host and organizer of The Game Awards, confirmed that the industry’s biggest annual celebration will take place on December 10, in a completely virtual format. In addition, the ceremony will be held in three international stages, being presented in studios located in London, Tokyo and Los Angeles.
Among the novelties to be revealed at TGA 2020, one of the main highlights is the addition of a new category of nominees, Innovation in Accessibility, grouping teams and games that develop resources that encourage accessibility and opportunities for all players , regardless of physical limitations, can take advantage of the potential of games.
“This becomes the next big moment to do something in the industry. It’s also great because the new consoles have just been released. We have a large audience. So I’m always cautiously optimistic about the games we’ll see soon,” said Geoff Keighley.
The event will certainly be one of the most awaited by the community, mainly because it is very close to the arrival of the new generation of consoles and NVIDIA graphics cards. And in addition to rewarding the biggest and most relevant titles launched throughout the year, it will also feature the presence of unpublished ads, preparing the public for the news of the following years.
