Mimimi Games, the team behind Desperados 3 and Shadow Tactics, has confirmed its dashing strategy game Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew — check out the first game trailer below.
“Welcome to the Lost Caribbean” begins with a description of Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew. “In this stealth strategy, join a ghost ship with a living soul and assemble a team of damned pirates. Use your magical powers to challenge the formidable army of the Inquisition that stands between you and the mysterious treasure of the legendary Captain Mordecai.”
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is due to be released sometime in 2023 and challenges players to assemble their own team of pirates for The Red Marley. “Each of your eight shipmates is a playable character with an individual personality, armed with unique supernatural abilities.”
“Carry out a grand heist and rescue a mysterious treasure of otherworldly power to challenge the army of the Inquisition. Infiltrate their fortresses. Sneak behind enemy lines. Skillfully combine the magical skills of your team to destroy many enemies with the help of carefully thought-out tactics. Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew will be available on Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
Speaking to PC Gamer, the head of communications at Mimimi Games, Matthias Kraut, said: “In our previous games with a more realistic setting, we were very limited in what we could do in terms of character skills, mechanics and gameplay. But now with Shadow Gambit, we’re full of fantasy and magic; that means we have ghost ships, a magical world, and cursed pirates with supernatural powers, which gives us a lot of freedom to develop meaningful, crazy new mechanics.”
