The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield and Planet of the Apes: The Confrontation), will follow Bruce Wayne’s early years as the hero of Gotham and should focus on the emotional weight experienced by Wayne. “Robert Pattinson offers a raw and intense portrayal of Batman as a disillusioned and desperate vigilante awakened by the realization that the rage that consumes him doesn’t make him any better than the ruthless serial killer he’s hunting,” reads the synopsis.
In addition to Pattinson, the film features Andy Serkis (Alfred), Paul Dano (Riddler), Colin Farrell (Penguin), Zoë Kravitz (Catwoman) and John Turturro (Carmine Falcone).
The film opens on March 4, 2022 in Brazilian cinemas.
