Story drafts feature coming to Instagram

Popular social media platform Instagram brings a new feature to the Stories panel. Users will be able to save the draft stories they’ve shot very soon. They will have the chance to publish whenever they want.

Instagram, which serves under Facebook, took its story feature from Snapchat, the legend of a period. These images, which automatically self-destructed after 24 hours, were soon adapted to other mobile applications of the company such as Messenger and WhatsApp. The tool that users have been waiting for for a long time now comes to the story panel, where we encounter new features every day.

Drafts option for Instagram Stories is coming

The novelty of drafting Instagram stories was discovered by software developer Alessandro Paluzzi among the platform’s secret codes. The leak was supported by screenshots.

According to the published photos, when you take a story in the application and close it without publishing, you will see the draft option. In the warning window that opens, you will have the options to delete, save to drafts or cancel the process. Your saved drafts will appear in the window containing your photos and videos.

Photos or videos taken for Instagram Stories can be downloaded to the phone and stored for later sharing. The platform has been offering this for years. But for those who do not want to empty your device’s memory, we are working on a draft innovation in the story panel. The tool, where you can continue editing the image from where you left off, will provide users with a practical service.

The option to save as a draft is actually already available on Instagram right now. Users have seen this on the post sharing screen for many years. It is also possible to take images into sketches in the short video focused tool called Reels. The platform only kept this functionality missing in the Stories window. Although a little late, the developers finally decided to take the issue.

What about the features you find missing in the Instagram Stories panel? You can share your ideas with us.
