Starfield will be shown in summer 2022, according to Bethesda. The long-awaited role-playing game set in a sci-fi world is an Xbox Series X / S exclusive, but will also be released on PC. IGN’s interview with Bethesda’s Todd Howard has left us a trail of headlines. The veteran producer and director has talked about the 10th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls V, but has also outlined the future with Starfield and the improvements they intend to make in the next video games. Regarding its science fiction title, which was presented at the Microsoft conference last E3 2021, everything seems to indicate that it will be in the summer of 2022 when we see the work in depth. This was revealed in a question and answer session that took place on Reddit.
“We prefer to show it plain and simple, something that should happen next summer,” he has written. “We are happy with the progress we have been able to make, some of them you can see in the trailer shot ingame.” He refers to the only official video that is currently available, the one they showed at the Los Angeles event (this time held telematically due to the coronavirus situation).
Starfield can now be played in its entirety
The development of Starfield is progressing according to plan, in a phase in which it is already playable from start to finish, although it warns that “there is still a lot to do”. In his words, this new job from Bethesda Game Studios is “very ambitious”, so they are not “going to take their foot off the gas.” The goal is to reach the announced release date, which in principle will remain “written in stone.” Howard is aware that you never know if there will be a delay, but he has shared his optimism about it.
If nothing changes, Starfield will hit stores on November 11, 2022 on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PC, and Xbox Game Pass. It is, therefore, an exclusive one for the Microsoft ecosystem.
