Spider-Man: The owners of a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 copy of Marvel’s Avengers will receive a big news later this month. Spider-Man will come to the game in patch 2.2 which will be released on November 30th.
The hero will arrive along with the new “Great Power Hero” event, whose story revolves around protagonist Peter Parker discovering a threat and joining the Avengers to prevent AIM from obtaining a technology.
According to the synopsis, Teioso will work more closely with characters like Ms. Marvel and Black Widow.
Jeff Adams, art director for Crystal Dynamics, said at the time of the revelation that Spider-Man would be PlayStation exclusive that the developer worked so the hero could have combat “as good on the controls as it is on the comic book pages.”
The executive said that like other characters in Marvel’s Avengers, the Spider can be customized and will have various abilities. “You can decide which powers and items you want to improve. All this will be necessary for him to face the threats that will appear”, he said.
Despite the upcoming release of additional content, neither Crystal Dynamics nor Square Enix (publisher) have released screenshots or gameplay videos featuring Webhead.
The Marvel’s Avengers roadmap also shows that players from other platforms will receive plenty of other content on November 30th. Among them, the Klaw Raid, an event arising from the events of the War for Wakanda expansion, of the Black Panther.
New cosmetic items will also be added (including costumes based on Marvel’s Cinematic Universe), a new enemy (called Echoes) and a revamped level system (which will allow characters in the game to reach level 175).
