It is reported that Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has submitted a second application for the purchase of Manchester United.

According to Mike Keegan (The Daily Mail), the Qataris posted their application overnight.

The finer details have now been smoothed out.

“The Qatari bid to buy United remained pending on Friday evening, but sources close to the group were adamant that it would be done, and therefore it became clear overnight.”

“It was assumed that the team working on the proposal of Sheikh Jasim bin Hamad al-Thani would submit their application before the closing of the working day on Friday.”

Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are the only parties to have made public offers.

After it became known that the duo missed the deadline for submitting applications on Wednesday, Manchester United fans on all social networks were surprised.

Both of them asked for an extension of the previous deadline set by the Glazers.

Yesterday, The Athletic reported that Ratcliffe had asked for extra time. Then the Qatari sheikh also decided to refrain from his application.

They say that Glazers demand an unrealistic price, north of 6 billion pounds.

Although none of the bids are expected to be close to the asking price, it will be seen if they will back down from their demands.
