While the Corona virus ravages the world, the medical world is working to develop a vaccine against this virus. Now, a pharmaceutical company called Sanofi has announced that it will try to develop a vaccine for the Corona virus. The company will work with the US Biomedical Research and Development Agency to conduct vaccination studies.

The Corona virus remains the world’s agenda. According to the official figures announced by China, as of today, the number of infected people has reached 75 thousand 199 and the number of virus-related deaths has reached 2.012. A significant improvement has now been made while scientists are working on treatments and drugs that can counteract the Corona virus. “Sanofi”, one of the leading names in the pharmaceutical industry, announced that it has started developing vaccines for the Corona virus.

The vaccine for the Corona virus is currently absent and does not seem to be found in a short time. However, it is a fact that the first company and country that managed to develop a vaccine against Corona virus will earn very serious money from this vaccine. As such, the medical world is working hard to develop a vaccine against the Corona virus.

Statements on the subject were made by David Loew, President of Sanofi vaccination unit. Recalling that they have been running vaccines against the SARS virus, known as the cousin of the Corona virus, in the past years, Loew explained that these studies will provide important clues to the Corona virus vaccine.

Sanofi will not work alone to develop a vaccine against the Corona virus. The company will work with the US Biomedical Research and Development Agency (BARDA) to develop the Corona virus vaccine. Expressing that the Corona virus is a global threat, Loew said that they will work with BARDA to make the project progress faster and this cooperation will bring the most meaningful results.

According to Loew’s statements, the company will prepare a vaccine bank and work on the vaccines available in this bank. By the testing stage, the number of vaccines available at the bank will be significantly reduced, thereby achieving the correct result. BARDA will also come into play at this point and will finance the vaccines used in the tests.

Developing a vaccine against any virus is not an easy task. Underlining this issue, Loew says there is still a long time for the final vaccine. According to Loew, it takes at least 6 months for Corona virus vaccine to start testing. At the end of this process, there will be a test phase that will vary from one year to 18 months. When the tests are over, if successful, a vaccine against Corona virus will be developed.
