Samsung launched in India the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, a less powerful (but full-featured) version of the Galaxy Tab S6, announced in the middle of last year. The product page was made available at the company’s local store, but its price has not yet been revealed.
Some details of the technical specifications have also not been confirmed, until then, by the manufacturer. The new device supports S Pen and has a 10.4-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. The original Galaxy Tab S6 has a 14.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600p, for comparison.
In the new tablet, Samsung maintains the metallic finish weighing 467 grams. Potentially to make it cheaper, it did not include a fingerprint reader – on the Galaxy Tab S6, the sensor is under the screen.
S Pen support
The company also points out that the tablet case brings a space with magnetic support dedicated to the pen. Although it was not exactly clear, the tablet itself apparently does not have any side with magnetic support. On the other hand, the pen is already included in its box.
It has storage options with 64 GB and 128 GB, in addition to 4 GB of RAM and space dedicated to microSD card up to 1 TB. The processor, which has not been revealed, has a maximum clock speed of 2.3 Ghz. The GSMArena website mentions that “it is probably the Exynos 9611”, from the manufacturer itself.
The product reaches the market already running Android 10 and One UI 2, Samsung’s proprietary interface. The manufacturer mentions that the new keyboard is “adjusted with greater visibility and definition” and that its interface is compatible with night mode.
Another outstanding feature is that the tablet can serve as a companion for your smartphone; as long as it is a Galaxy, it has at least 3 GB of RAM, in addition to being synchronized on the same Samsung account and running Android Pie or later. Thus, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite can also be synchronized to answer calls and answer messages.
Battery that lasts too long?
Samsung placed a 7,040 mAh battery in the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and promises up to 13 hours of continuous video playback, or up to 12 hours browsing via LTE or Wi-Fi. It is even worth mentioning that the tablet is only 7mm thick.
By the way, it comes with support for AKG and Dolby Atmos sound technologies, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite also features 8 MP (rear) and 5 MP (front) cameras and gray (Oxford Gray), pink (Chiffon Pink) and blue (Angora Blue) color options.
