In certification recently issued by the Wi-Fi Alliance found today, it was possible to prove that Samsung is already preparing the successor to its high-end tablet Galaxy Tab S6. Under the code SM-T967B, the new device from the manufacturer would support 5G connections and Wi-Fi 6. Now, new leaks shed more light on the new device, specifically on its battery, which can finally hit head on with its main rival, the iPad Pro.
The alleged Galaxy Tab S7 Plus passed the CQCC of China, responsible for the quality control of devices launched in the country, showing a battery with code EB-BT975ABY and nominal capacity of 9800mAh. With the component number in hand, the GalaxyClub website was able to find the same battery for sale at spare parts suppliers.
The typical capacity, commonly used in promotional materials, reaches a generous 10,090mAh, considerably larger than its successor, which has a 7,040mAh tank, and slightly higher than what is found in the Apple tablet, which is powered by a reserve of 9,720mAh. The gain can be justified by the increase in the screen, which can reach 12.4 inches, generating a possible increase in energy expenditure.
The Galaxy Tab S7 Plus is expected to come equipped with a Snapdragon 865 processor and Super AMOLED screen with super thin edges, in addition to the previously mentioned support for 5G and Wi-Fi 6. It is important to note that this is the premium model of the Tab line S7, which should also have a standard, simpler model, of which information is not yet available
This was not the only Samsung device to be found in official documentation today. A new model of Galaxy Fold, equipped with a smaller front screen, similar to what is seen on the Galaxy Z Flip, and water resistance had its patent registered by the manufacturer. In view of the configurations described, it is believed that this may be an accessible version of the company’s folding devices.
