Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny bought Wrexham Football Club to restore it to its former glory. And they did just that, as the old Welsh football club proved itself in various matches during the football season. Reynolds and McElhenny are aiming for the Football League. However, it was quite a rocky uphill path. As can be seen from the documentary series “Welcome to Wrexham”, football, or at least the own football club “Wrexham” by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny, is not without a thriller. The team marked a break when everyone fell into their seats when their goalkeeper Rob Leinton was injured. Only for a hilarious plot twist to follow.
More than wins and losses, the players, their performances, injuries and dedication to the game make football a place of worship for many. And since Wrexham lost a key player to injury at a critical moment, fans were hoping for a miracle to survive. And it happened in the image of Ben Foster.
Ben Foster is back playing with Wrexham FC
The goalkeeper of the England national team and Manchester United announced his retirement last year, and the fans had nothing but sadness in their hearts. Foster is a man of the field, he has spent years giving impressive performances for West Brom and Watford. Therefore, his ignition with Wrexham FC is nothing short of a miracle, as the fans thought they would never see him on the field again. Ben Foster said about joining Wrexham FC on the official website of Wrexham FC: “I’m over the moon with happiness.” The 39-year-old will accelerate Wrexham’s path to the Vanarama National League before the end of the season.

Foster’s last stint at the Welsh club was in 2005, and obviously a lot has changed since then. The goalkeeper has won more than eight matches for the England national team. He also made the club famous by bringing him the LDV Vans Trophy. And this time fas adhere to the same expectations.
Will Ben Foster bring glory to Ryan Reynolds and Wrexham FC
Since acquiring the team, Reynolds and Rob McElhenny have undoubtedly improved the conditions of the club. This was evident in the team’s performance, as well as in the strong struggle they waged in the matches. However, they have not yet managed to achieve anything outstanding.
Therefore, the addition of Ben Foster indicates that things are going in the right direction. To come out on top in the National League, Wrexham need three points to get ahead of Notts County.
