Rumors that Apple will introduce a new mini-LED display iPad Pro this year have grown a little stronger this week. The report, which appeared in a newspaper after the new iPad Pro launched by the company, points to a device with a mini-LED display coming soon.
Technology giant Apple seems to be slowing down this year despite a new ultra-powerful iPad Pro model it introduced this week. Now it is said that the company is preparing to add more models to the iPad series in the coming months. According to a new report published by the Taiwanese communications industry newspaper DigiTimes, the company is working on a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro model with a mini-LED display to be released this year.
The resulting report cites sources from Apple’s supply chain, saying the upcoming mini-LED iPad Pro will only be the beginning of the company’s relationship with the new display technology, which the company plans to expand more and more in the next five years. According to sources, the new display technology used by TCL on some smart TV models is said to be used in Apple’s mini LED backlight. It is also mentioned that the company spends a lot of time on R&D on this subject.
Six new products may arrive until the end of the year
The DigiTimes report is in line with a new analysis claiming that at least six products with a mini-LED display have been worked on to launch the Ming-Chi Kuo, the analyst of the TF Securities company, and the renowned Apple forecasts of the name Ming-Chi Kuo. According to Kuo, mini-LED devices are listed as 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 10.2-inch iPad, 7.9-inch iPad mini, 27-inch iMac Pro, 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.
In an analysis late last year, Kuo claimed that Apple’s first wave of mini-LED products would be announced in March 2020. Kuo also stated that the 16-inch MacBook Pro with mini-LED display will be released in 2020. We will learn if the predictions are correct in the coming days.
