Ahead of their 12th wedding anniversary this Sunday, it turns out that Reese Witherspoon and her husband, talent agent Jim Toth, won’t be celebrating this weekend. The “Legally Blonde” actress just revealed that the couple made the “difficult decision” to divorce each other in an announcement Friday afternoon.
Witherspoon took to Instagram to share a joint statement from herself and Jim Toth regarding the change in their marital status. Let’s take a look:

In the post, Witherspoon and Toth shared that they have spent “so many wonderful years” as a couple and have “mutual respect” for each other moving forward. They have a child together, 10-year-old Tennessee James Toth. Witherspoon has two more children with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, whom she separated from in 2006 after seven years of marriage.
