Confirming the rumors, Xiaomi announced on Tuesday (26) the new Redmi 10X and 10X Pro in China. The new smartphones support dual-5G, the new Dimensity 820 chipset, from MediaTek, and digital zoom of up to 30x in the toughest version.
The new phones have strong specifications and a competitive price. The settings include a 6.57-inch Full HD + (2400 x 1080p, 20: 9) AMOLED screen with a fingerprint reader under it and a drop notch. Both have a 180Hz touch response rate.
There are a number of similarities between the two models. Both arrive on the market with Android 10 (MIUI 12) and the Dimensity 820 5G (2.6 GHz) chipset. These are the RAM and storage variants available for the Redmi 10X and 10X Pro:
Redmi 10X: 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB; 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB; 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB; 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB
Redmi 10X Pro: 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB; 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB
Prices for the Redmi 10X range from 1,599 yuan to 2,399 yuan and will be available in the Chinese market starting June 1.
The Redmi 10X Pro, which will go on sale on June 6, has prices ranging from 2,399 yuan to 2,599 yuan.
The cheapest with 5G
Both models support two operator chips compatible with 5G technology. According to the brand, they are the cheapest cell phones in the country with 5G. Redmi also points out that the chipset used scored 415,672 points in the AnTuTu benchmark tool.
Also in the specifications, high speed memories have been added. RAM is LPDDR4X, while storage is UFS 2.1, which guarantees more read and write speed.
The Redmi 10X has a 48 MP (f / 1.8) main camera, in addition to the 8 MP (f / 2.2) wide-angle lens and the 2 MP (f / 2.4) depth sensor. The Redmi 10X Pro, on the other hand, has the same main camera and the open-angle camera, but has an 8 MP sensor for optical zoom up to 3x, or digital up to 30x. The Pro version even has a 5 MP camera for macro shots. At the front, respectively, they bring 16 MP and 20 MP cameras.
The battery of both has 4,520 mAh and they support reverse charging (9W). The Redmi 10X has a fast charge of 22.5W, while the 10X Pro supports 33W charging.
A version of Redmi 10X with 4G will also be marketed for starting at 999 yuan.
