Rainbow Six: Extraction Gains Release Date; Game Will Have Buddy System

Rainbow Six: Extraction: Ubisoft has announced that it will release Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Extraction in January of next year, and that the game is now on pre-order. With versions for computers and consoles from past and current generations, the title will immerse gamers in an adventure against aliens.

Extraction promises to bring an immersive operator progression system (offering individual progress for each combatant), 12 maps similar in size to Rainbow Six: Siege in 4 regions, around 60 different weapons and four difficulty levels.

The new game will even allow players to invite friends to join matches even if they don’t have a copy of the new Rainbow Six, for free, thanks to the Buddy System. The system is limited to two 14-day invite codes, and all progress over these two weeks will be maintained and can be retrieved if players choose to purchase a copy of the game.

During the pre-order period, consumers who purchase the new series title in advance will receive Orbital Decay, a special cosmetic bundle. Rainbow Six: Siege veterans will also receive the United Front package, which will come with four sets of gear exclusive to both games, as well as “access to the full list of Siege Operators”.

Rainbow Six: Extraction will be released for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC on January 20, 2022.
