Prayer call from the pope for the safety of robots

Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of the Catholics, called on believers around the world to pray in November for AI and robots to ‘always serve humanity’.

Pope Francis, leader of the Catholic Church, stated that artificial intelligence and robots can make the world better, but this is only possible if technology is used correctly.

Otherwise, the Pope noted that the consequences of technological progress could lead to increased inequality and perhaps global threats to all humanity.

Earlier this year, with the “Rome Artificial Intelligence Ethics Call” published jointly by Vatican, Microsoft and IBM, the principles that will guide technology developers were determined as “transparency, inclusiveness, responsibility, impartiality, reliability and security”.
