Meet the 2021 Porsche 911 Targa 4 and Targa 4S models that combine Porsche’s coupe and convertible. The 911 Targa 4 and 4S models, which turn into a coupe model with the convertible on the top of the Porsche and the convertible on the top, keep the classic Porsche details. The 992 generation 911 Targa models will be produced to enjoy the open-top ride while preserving the classic 911 silhouette. When both models are closed, it looks no different from a coupe model.
Porsche 911 Targa 4 and 4S are very similar to their brothers!
According to Porsche data, the roof of the car can be opened and closed in 19 seconds. Porsche added large wheel housings and a larger rear spoiler to separate the new Targa models from its coupe and convertible brothers.
Besides the unique ceiling, Targa has technically the same characteristics as the rest of the 992 family. Both Targa models are powered by the same 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged H6 engine. Targa 4 will produce 380 horsepower 450 Nm of torque, while Targa 4S will produce 443 horsepower and 530 Nm torque. As with other 992 models, Targa 4 and 4S models have 8-speed automatic (PDK) and 7-speed manual gear options.
Porsche did not make a clear statement about the weights of the new cars. However, we do not expect a remarkable difference with the Cabriolet.
When the Porsche 911 Targa 4 is equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package, it will accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 289 km / h. The 4S model with dual clutch and Sport Chrono will accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 303 km / h.
We do not yet know if there will be a Targa GTS as in the previous 991. However, the 992 GTS coupe and convertible must be introduced before the Targa GTS.
2021 Porsche 911 Targa 4 will be available at prices starting from $ 119,300 and Targa 4S from $ 135,200.
