Pamela Anderson said that she refused to read the letter sent to her by the star of “Pam and Tommy” Lily James.

In an interview with The New York Times, Anderson explained that she had not watched the Disney+ series, which tells the true story of how her sex video with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee leaked to the masses.

Anderson said the events described in the series were “already painful enough for the first time,” adding, “It’s like one of those things where you say, ‘Really?’ Do people still benefit from it?”

The “Malibu Lifeguards” star then revealed that James, who plays Anderson in the series, contacted her after taking on the role, saying she wanted to “honor” her by starring in the series.

However, Anderson refused to respond to the actress, instead scanning a copy of the letter and leaving it unread in her mailbox.

Meanwhile, Netflix recently released a trailer for a new documentary, Pamela, a Love Story, in which Anderson talks about the sex video scandal.

Speaking in the trailer, Anderson says: “I blocked this stolen record from my life in order to survive, and now that it all comes up again, I feel bad. I want to take control of the narrative for the first time.”

The document was announced in March last year after the release of Pam & Tommy.

The official synopsis reads: “An intimate and humane portrait of one of the most famous blondes in the world. Pamela, a love story follows the trajectory of Pamela Anderson’s life and career from a small-town girl to an international sex symbol, actress, activist and loving mother.”

Announcing the documentary in March on Instagram, Anderson wrote: “My life. A thousand imperfections. A million misconceptions. Angry, wild and lost. Nothing to live for. I can only surprise you. Not a victim, but a survivor. And alive to tell the real story.”

“Pamela, a Love Story” is released on Netflix on January 31.
