Official: Project xCloud reaches Brazil


Amid the sea of ​​excitement of the new generation, with Xbox Series X | S arriving in Brazil on the day of the worldwide launch, Microsoft released another wild card from its deck: Project xCloud, a cloud project that brings the long-awaited possibility of playing how, when and where he wants, he arrives in the country on the 18th, in the preliminary phase. Enrollment starts this Wednesday (11).

In addition to Brazil, three other countries receive the service on that date: Australia, Japan and Mexico. The idea of ​​the program, officially called Project xCloud Preview, is to study these four new markets based on user tests and feedbacks – in addition to other countries that had already been testing the functionality of the cloud.

Therefore, this phase represents a first step in service here. The second stage, according to Microsoft, would start in 2021, delivering cloud games as part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at no additional cost.

“It is an important step on our journey. We hope that cloud games will bring new ways to play, whenever and however we want. Play Master Chief from anywhere from your smartphone, take a few laps in Forza while someone else occupies the living room TV or try a new game on Xbox. You can do it from your Android phone or tablet, ”says Catherine Gluckstein, general manager and product manager for Project xCloud, in a post on Xbox Wire.

How to apply

To have the chance to participate in this testing phase, to start on the 18th, just sign up on the dedicated Microsoft page. Anyone is eligible for this – even those new to the Xbox world.

Project xCloud Preview is supported by Android phones and tablets through the Xbox Game Streaming (Preview) app, available for free on the Google Play Store and entirely in Portuguese.
