NFL World Reacts to “Disturbing” News about Patriots’ Insult

The news from New England is not the best, as the Patriots are preparing for the first preseason game. This is largely due to the “disturbing” news about the offense.

Patriots insider Tom Curran called the Patriots’ No. 1 offense at today’s practice “depressingly bad.” He pointed out a number of difficulties, ranging from unsuccessful games to an unsuccessful day of training.

Curran said the depth of their problems goes beyond just the growing pain of a new offense and becomes a systemic problem. The last words he used to describe the crime were “constantly depressed.”

For some NFL fans, the Patriots’ struggles are a confirmation of the long-held belief that head coach Bill Belichick made a mistake in deciding to promote defensive-minded coaches like Matt Patricia to offensive coaching positions. Others hope that this year the Patriots will be humiliated:

The New England Patriots lost some of their best offensive assistants to the Las Vegas Raiders when Josh McDaniels left to become their head coach.

In their absence, Bill Belichick either left the positions unfilled, or the same person performed several roles.

Bill Belichick has been right often enough, so he usually gets the benefit of the doubt. But right now, the results are not showing up in a way that inspires any confidence.

Will the Patriots’ offense start clicking before the season starts?
