The Model S Plaid was officially launched by Tesla with a range above 830 km and a maximum speed of 320 km / h. The announcement was made a few hours ago by Elon Musk, during the Battery Day event.

This model, which promises to be an improved version of the Model S, has a triple engine, all-wheel drive and a larger battery, which will be used to cover greater distances. This machine goes from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 2.1 seconds and can cover 400 meters in just 9 seconds.

Tesla, which previously competed only with itself, now has new competitors: Lucid Motors, with its electric Lucid Air, and Porshe, with the Taycan Turbo S. After eating dust for both cars on the test circuit, the manufacturer announced the new model with numbers that regain first place on the podium – at least for now.

The Model S Plaid is now available for orders in Portugal for € 140,990 (about R $ 911,472 in direct conversion). According to Tesla, the car is expected to be delivered to buyers by the end of 2021.
