The FX channel has published new photos of Jon Hamm from the fifth season of the critically acclaimed TV series “Fargo”.
Based on the 1996 film of the same name, the popular series tells about a new cast of characters each season during homicide investigations in different Midwestern cities. Although each season is different from the previous one, the storylines are connected in a mysterious way.
Past actors who have appeared in the popular series have been Chris Rock, Ewan McGregor, Billy Bob Thornton, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Gene Smart.
The newly released photos came after the network announced that the limited drama series would return later this year. The teaser was posted on a verified FX account on Instagram with a caption to the photo: “I didn’t know how much we needed Jon Hamm in a cowboy hat. The fifth part of @FargoFX will be released later this year.”

The “Mad Men” actor will play Roy in the fifth part, although there is practically no information about his character, he wears a cowboy hat that radiates a Western atmosphere.
The slogan of the show reads: “When a kidnapping isn’t a kidnapping, what if your wife isn’t yours?”
When the news spread on social networks, fans of the series expressed their opinion about the new actors who joined the show.
One user commented: “For a second I thought it was a western, but I’m still glad it finally happened.”
Another user added, “I really hope this doesn’t happen in an old time period like season 4.”
The plot of the series has not yet been revealed, but, according to TV Insider, the events of the fifth season will take place in 2019, which is by far the most modern setting for the show. Meanwhile, Juno Temple and Jennifer Jason Leigh starred alongside Hamm in the lead roles.
The first four seasons of the series received 55 Emmy Award nominations and won six, including Outstanding Miniseries in 2014.
