Chinese smartphone maker Meizu shared official rendered images of the new model Meizu 17, which will be located in the flagship segment. The smartphone, which seems to come with a hole-punched screen, attracts attention with its quad camera setup positioned horizontally on the back body.
Last year, Meizu, which has launched several devices in its homeland, including the Snapdragon 855 processor flagship Meizu 16s and the mid-range Meizu Note 9, is battling with tough opponents such as OnePlus, Xiaomi, Realme and Huawei.
At the launch in January 2019, the Guangdong-based company, which introduced a highly innovative smartphone called Meizu Zero, unfortunately could not launch the device in question. Leaving a shaky year behind, Meizu hopes to spread the black clouds on it with its new flagship.
Meizu 17’s design will be like this
Making a written statement on Weibo, China’s most popular social media platform, the company shared an impressive render image showing the design of Meizu 17. The company has also confirmed that it will introduce its new flagship on May 8.
As you can see in the rendered images, the Meizu 17 will have a quad-rear camera setup arranged horizontally, with an LED flash ring in the middle. When we look at the front, we see a screen that is almost frameless and punched. Render also shows that the device will have a fingerprint scanner embedded in a screen and unlocked with face lock.

While the company has not revealed more details about its hardware features, it is stated that the Meizu 17 will be equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship processor Snapdragon 865 and will feature 5G technology. Other features we expect on the phone include a 6.5-inch OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage, Wi-Fi 6 technology and 4,500mAh with 30W fast charging support.
We expect Meizu to provide more information about the device by the launch date on May 8. You can reach the news we have made about the features and price of the device. We will keep you informed if new details about Meizu 17 are revealed.
