Netflix celebrates International Women’s Day with a special collection

We tell you what this project is about, which they carried out in collaboration with the UN Women organization .

Through its social networks, the streaming platform shared a video of its new collection “Because she saw”, a series of films and series that show women with great diversity, as well as being inspiring stories.

The list was created based on the opinions of female artists such as Millie Bobby Brown, Yalitza Aparicio, Salma Hayek and Sophia Loren, among others.

The playlist is now available on Netflix and is made up of titles such as “Roma”, “Oranges is the new black”, “Sex Education”, “Gravity”, “The Crown”, “Bird Box”, “Anne with an E” , “Miss Americana”, “Feminists: what were they thinking?”, Among others.

In this regard, Anita Bhatia , deputy executive director of UN Women , explained that Netflix and the organization want to demonstrate that society can only move forward if women also have a place not only on the big screen, but in all possible narratives.
