Netflix cancels Stranger Things and more productions due to Coronavirus. The pandemic is affecting the economic, social, and entertainment industries.
Netflix has become one of the most popular streaming platforms thanks to its original content such as series, movies and documentaries.
However, several of its releases for this year will have to stop production and release due to the coronavirus crisis .
According to information from the Deadline portal, Netflix reacted to the order that President Donald Trump gave by declaring a state of emergency for the United States in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
The platform took the necessary measures and paused the production of the fourth season of “Stranger Things” , the government has restricted flights, meetings with a large group of people, among others. The measure will begin this Monday, March 16 and will last 2 weeks.
Other Netflix projects such as “Grace and Frankie”, “The Prom” by Ryan Murphy, and “Sex Life” have been postponed. The entertainment industry is not just about Netflix , shows like “The Late Late Show” by James Corden, premieres of “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Riverdale”, “The Ninja Warriors” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” they have stopped their recordings.
