WayV, the Chinese division of the boy band NCT, has released a funny new music video for their recent B-side “Good Life”.
On January 9, the boy band (currently active as a sextet) presented a laid-back video for “Good Life”, a song from their recent fourth mini-album “Phantom”. In the new visual, WayV participants go to the night park, photographing each other with polaroids, playing board games and basketball.
“I want to know what it’s like / What it’s like / No problem, a good life / What it’s like, what it’s like / No problem, a good life,” they sing in a light chorus.
“Good Life” is one of the eight tracks on “Phantom”, which was released on December 28 along with the title single of the same name. The album also includes new B-sides such as “Diamonds Only”, “Broken Love”, “Bounce Back” and “Try My Luck”.
Previously released duet tracks “Back To You” by Kun and Xiaojun and “Low Low” by Teng and Yang Yang were also featured as bonus songs.
Earlier today (January 10), SM Entertainment announced that WayV will launch its 2023 “Phantom” global fanmiting tour next month. The boy band will hold two events in Seoul on February 11 at 14:00 and 20:00 Korean time at the Grand Peace Palace of Kyung Hee University before heading to cities around the world. More details are expected in the coming weeks.
“Phantom” became WayV’s first music in almost two years after the release of their third mini-album “Kick Back” in March 2021. Inactive member Lucas became embroiled in controversy a few months after this release, which led to his continuing hiatus from both. WayV and his other actions in NCT and supergroup SuperM. At the time of writing, it is unclear when Lucas will return after the break.
As for other NCT news, South Korean band NCT 127 is going to release their re-released album “Ay-Yo” later this month. The upcoming recording is a re-release of their studio album “질주 (2 Baddies)” from September 2022, and three brand new songs will be added to it, including the new title track “Ay-Yo”.
