The 3rd season of Narcos: Mexico will gain new characters and, consequently, new members in its cast. So far, names like Luis Gerardo Méndez, Bad Bunny and Alberto Guerra have been announced.
Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny will play Arturo “Kitty” Paez, a member of the Ramon Arellano Felix (Manuel Masalva) gang also known as Narco Juniors. The group is made up of wealthy kids who get along very well with people from high society, but who decided to enter the world of drugs.
Luis Gerardo Méndez will play Victor Tapia, a Juarez policeman with a moral dilemma who, despite his doubts about getting involved, is drawn to the mystery of a series of brutal murders.
Meanwhile, Alberto Guerra was scheduled to play Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, an independent drug dealer, whose unpretentious way of being ends up showing that he can be more dangerous than he looks.
Other additions to the cast of the 3rd season of Narcos: Mexico include Luisa Rubino, playing Andrea Nuñez, an idealistic and ambitious young journalist, and Alejandro Furth as Ramon Salgado.
Set in the 90s, the plot of the new season will examine the war that would have happened after the empire of Felix (Diego Luna) fragmented. As independent cartels struggle to survive political upheavals and escalating violence, a new generation of Mexican leaders is emerging.
In this context, the truth is the first victim, and each arrest, murder and loss of power, we will see the best of the worst of each of those involved in this conflict.
Narcos: Mexico is set to debut in 2021 on Netflix!
