American wrestling is in mourning, as the unfortunate death of Joseph Laurinaitis, better known as Road Warrior Animal, has been announced on Tuesday night.
According to reports that police gave TMZ, the fighter died at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri. The police force received a call at 11:49 p.m. from Joseph’s wife, but by the time the uniformed officers arrived, the fighter had already been declared dead by emergency personnel. The causes of his death are unknown.
After the unfortunate news, several wrestlers and former WWE wrestlers sent their condolences, such as Hulk Hogan, who said goodbye to him with an ‘Animal, I love you my brother’.
Laurinaitis’s last tweet before he died was dedicated to his wife, wishing her a happy anniversary just hours before she died.
During his career, Road Warrior Animal was renowned for his striking face paint, pointed shoulder pads, and imposing physique. He is considered one of the best wrestlers that has gone through WWE, he is remembered for his successful career doing dumbbells with Road Warrior Hawk, winning several world championships.
