Arsenal will be able to count on the services of rookie Leandro Trossard in Sunday’s match against Manchester United.

The Gunners have officially announced that they have reached an agreement with Brighton regarding the transfer of the Belgian for 27 million pounds.

The striker will have the opportunity to bow to Emirates fans on Sunday when the London club hosts United.

United have the opportunity to narrow the gap between themselves and Arsenal to just five points if they win on a hostile basis.

Mikel Arteta was asked if Trossard would be available. He replied, “He trained today, so he’s ready to go. We are very glad that we have him. He’s a player we’ve been following for a while.

“There was an opportunity, and we had a need for a versatile front-line player. I think he can have an immediate impact.”

The Arsenal boss added: “We had to think not only about the short term, but also about the medium and long term. He gives it all. He’s a very smart player, if you look at what he’s done over the last few years, he’s a player who fits our style of play exactly.”

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth also reports that the table leaders have registered the 28-year-old before the deadline at noon on Friday.

It is reported that Arsenal are also close to signing Spezia defender Jakub Kivior, but he will not be able to play against the Red Devils.

Arteta was asked about Kivior, but he refused to reveal the details of his upcoming transition.

Trossard is a big help for Arsenal, who are currently without the prolific Gabriel Jesus.

He represents a powerful option or an alternative from the bench, which Eric ten Haag and certainly the team should be wary of.
