Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has denied rumors that Casemiro’s absence from Manchester United on Sunday automatically gives his team an advantage.
However, the Spanish coach said that he, his staff and players would plan for United’s downfall, knowing that Casemiro would be unavailable.
Speaking at his press conference, Arteta warned that United still have a lot of quality players who can make a difference.
Casemiro was ruled out of the game after receiving a warning at Wednesday’s draw at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace.
A foul on Wilfried Zaha will result in the Brazilian serving a one-game suspension against the Gunners, which will be a huge blow for Erik ten Hag and the whole team.
Arteta said: “It’s [Casemiro’s suspension] from something we can’t control. He didn’t play in the first game either, and we still haven’t done enough to win that match.”

“When you look at their team [Manchester United], it becomes incredible that individuals and a collective organization can beat any opponent in this league.
“We will plan the game knowing that he is unavailable — that’s for sure.”

Arteta said that United have so many people who can instantly change the direction of the game.
The talented stars of United, according to Arteta, mean that Arsenal will have to make every effort and not allow the red devils to join the game.
