Mark Strong punched Adam Sandler in the face on the set of their new movie “Mysterious Murder 2”.
The comedy is a sequel to the 2019 Netflix film “Mysterious Murder” and will tell about Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, who will reprise their roles of Nick and Audrey Spitz after creating their private detective agency. Strong plays Connor Miller, a former M16 hostage negotiator and an experienced detective who often gets into numerous fights with Sandler.
Appearing on the BBC’s The One Show, Strong jokingly admitted to punching Sandler in the face during a fight scene.
“[The action sequences] go on forever,” he explained. “You make one move for ages, and I had to literally hold [Sandler’s] shoulder and hit him, but stay away from him [a little distance] because of where the camera was. And one day I caught him.”
Sandler has shown good sportsmanship as he wants to get out of the situation when he and Aniston joked about it in a video they sent to a BBC chat.
“We’re not going to talk about Mark hitting me in the face that time. Mark accidentally hit me in the face. Do you remember this Mark? Sandler said.

Aniston repeatedly thanked Strong for “lifting up” their film.
The actor of “Uncut Jewels” continued: “But you’re a good person, Mark—I immediately forgave him and was knocked out for about half a second.”
Aniston added, “He cried a little bit, but then it was over,” before Sandler replied, “The tears went away, and I thought:”Mark is my friend.””
In other news, Sandler shared how he reconciled with critics who “hate” his films.
During his career, the actor starred in a number of critical failures, including “Adults”, “Jack and Jill”, “Little Nicky”, “Mr. Deeds” and others.
Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Sandler told how Kathy Bates helped him cope with negative reviews when they starred together in the 1998 film “Water Boy.”
