Actress Rosario Dawson (Luke Cage) can play Ahsoka Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian. According to SlashFilm, she was cast in the series, however, her character has not been confirmed so far.
Ahsoka Tano made his debut in the franchise as Anakin Skywalker’s padawan in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Over time, she became increasingly popular, having also participated in the Star Wars Rebels series. If Dawson is confirmed on paper, this will be the first time that the character will appear in a live-action.
The news should please fans of the franchise, who have been waiting for years for the character in other stories from the Star Wars universe. Her presence on The Mandalorian reinforces the interest of Dave Filoni, creator of Ahsoka Tano, to further explore the character. He is also one of the writers and directors for The Mandalorian.
In Clone Wars, Ahsoka Tano is currently without a conclusion. The series was discontinued in 2014, without a satisfactory closure. In 2018, Disney confirmed a final season, which is currently airing on Disney +, with new episodes each week, scheduled to end in May this year.
The second season of The Mandalorian is scheduled to open in October on Disney +. The date should not change, as all episodes had already been recorded before the start of the new coronavirus pandemic.
